The Johns Hopkins News-Letter

I served as editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, The News-Letter, which has been the independent, student-run publication of the university since 1896. I wrote about Hopkins and Baltimore and myself. I explored my struggles with anxiety and how John Green helped me come to terms with my mental health problems. I reported on how the University's plan to stop student organizations from using the Hopkins name angered the student body. I also wrote about Michael Bloomberg's historic donation to the University, and how it would affect low-income students.

WYPR-FM, Baltimore 

I interned for Midday, a daily news talk show on WYPR, Baltimore's NPR-affiliate station. While I interned there, I produced four shows: on the future of affirmative action in college admissions, how after-school sports in Baltimore support kidspushback against Hopkins' place for a private police force, and the debate over universal pre-K
